Consisting of over 300 professional artists of various fields, the Zhejiang Song & Dance Theatre is the largest state-run performing art group in the province. Its Symphony Orchestra, Folk Orchestra, Dance Troupe, Vocalists and Chorus make a great impact on the cultural community.
This impact has been greatly strengthened over the past forty years by the tremendous contributions of artists of generations in the Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra. Chinese, French, German, Korean and Swiss audiences have been greatly impressed after viewing their performances. The orchestra is now a leading orchestra among all provincial ones in China for its outstanding popularity.

Rooted in an abundant land, Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra. performances display the unique culture of the area. The culture is reserved and exquisite, not unlike the long history and beautiful scenery of Zhejiang.
As communication is more developed between China and the international community, music plays a great role for peoples' understanding with each other. It is a bridge that spans the gap of different people, which sometimes language cannot. The Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra is striving to strengthen this bridge so that it may serve as a pathway for all those wishing to experience what has not yet been seen.
